X5100/X6100 Lexmark Hardware Error 401 50C 502

How to Fix Lexmark Printer Hardware Error. Problems: Hardware Error: “401″ on the LCD screen, Hardware Error: “50C” on the LCD screen, Hardware Error: “502″ on the LCD screen.

 

Hardware Error 401:

Problem Cause: The All-in-One Scanner is stalled.

To resolve this issue - How to fix:

1. Press Power to turn your All-in-One off.
2. Unplug the All-in-One.
3. Make sure that the scanner is unlocked.
4. Plug in the All-in-One.
5. Press Power to turn the All-in-One back on.

 

Hardware Error 50C:

Problem Cause: Your print cartridge has shorted.

To resolve this issue - How to fix:

1. Press Power to turn your All-in-One off.
2. Unplug the All-in-One.
3. Take your cartridges out and then put them back in again.
4. Plug in the All-in-One and press Power again. See this article for more information.

 

Hardware Error 502:

Problem Cause: The All-in-One is stalled.

To resolve this issue - How to fix:

1. Press Power to turn your All-in-One off.
2. Unplug the All-in-One.
3. Check for paper jams.
4. Plug in the All-in-One.
5. Press Power to turn the All-in-One back on.
