2Wire 2700HG Advanced Networking Modem Installation
Either your computer fails to meet the basic requirements for an automatic installation, or you have declined to follow the automatic installation process. To install and configure your Advanced Networking Modem, you must carefully follow these step-by-step instructions.

Step 1. Service activation time and date
Please wait to install your modem until your broadband service activation time and date.
To find the time and date of your service activation, look on the Installation Information sheet in your installation kit.
Step 2. Do you have a home security alarm system?
If you do not have a home security alarm system connected to the same line (same telephone number) as your broadband service, skip to Step 3.
Security Alarm
If your home or business has an alarm system and if Qwest Broadband will share the same phone line, you have special wiring needs. If you did not ask for a technician to come for your installation, please contact your Security Alarm Provider or Qwest Sales as soon as possible to order and schedule your installation.
If your security alarm system is wired incorrectly, it may fail to make a notification call when the alarm is triggered. Professional wiring is required to ensure inter-operability.
WARNING: DO NOT ATTEMPT THE INSTALLATION YOURSELF.
Qwest strongly recommends you contact your Security Alarm Provider for more information about your security alarm system before you attempt to install Qwest Broadband. Qwest also strongly recommends you contact your Security Alarm Provider after installation of Qwest Broadband to have them conduct a test of your security alarm system.
